Liubov Volkova is a photographer from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, was born in 1988. Since 2020 she studies photography in the Academy of Art and Documentary Photography “Fotografika” in Saint-Petersburg.
Liubov studies themes of memory and influence of processes in the society on manmade landscape. She uses method of documentary photography and archive photos to produce her photo projects. Her projects were published in The Calvert Journal, Pupilshere, Takie Dela, Colta and others. Liubov was shortlisted in BarTur Photo Awards 2021 and has special mention in Urbanautica Institute Awards 2021. Her printed works are in private collections
Liubov teaches teenagers contemporary photography. She thinks that photography is very useful tool for teenagers to express themselves. In 2021 we made a group exhibition of their works in The Anna Akhmatova Museum at the Fountain House in Saint-Petersburg.
